Vishwakarma Puja, also known as Vishwakarma Day, is celebrated every year on the 16th or 17th of September and the day after Diwali. On this day, Lord Vishwakarma, the creator of the entire world, is worshiped; in fact, according to the belief, Lord Vishwakarma alone has created the whole world. This Hindu festival is associated with him only.

Prashad Prepration

A few traditional dishes are cooked on this day which is distributed among the loved ones as a Prasad after offering to the Lord Vishwakarma. Ingredients to Prepare Khichdi:

  • 2 Cups Rice
  • 1 Cup Toor Dal
  • 5 Cloves
  • 1 Cinnamon
  • 5 Cardamoms
  • 2 Finely sliced Onion
  • 6 to 8 small size Tomatoes
  • 4 Green Chilies
  • 12 to 15 Mint Leaves
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic paste
