Vishwakarma Puja Prasad Preparation – विश्वकर्मा पूजा के प्रसाद की तैयारी

Vishwakarma Puja or Vishwakarma Jayanti is celebrated on the 16 or 17th, September of every Year. Lord Vishwakarma, the divine god of architecture, is the person who constructed every royal residence of gods, including the heaven itself. He designed the vehicles of gods and their weapons, as well. On this day, machines, instruments are cleaned and painted. A large portion of the factories and shops are closed, and individuals worship Lord Vishwakarma with excellent delight and joy.

At the end of the Puja, Prasad is distributed to everyone. Along with this, a few more traditional dishes are cooked on this day, which is distributed among the loved ones as a Prasad after offering to the Lord Vishwakarma. We are giving recipes for a couple of dishes here.

Khichdi

Ingredients to Prepare Khichdi

1 Toor Daal 1 cup
2 Cloves 5
3 Cinnamon 1
4 Cardamoms 5
5 Finely sliced Onion 2
6 Tomatoes (small size) 6-8
7 Green Chilies 4
8 Mint Leaves 12-15
9 Coriander Leaves 1/2 Bundle
10 Garlic Paste 1 Teaspoon
11 Ginger Paste 1 and 1/2 Teaspoon
12 Salt As per taste
13 Vegetable Oil 1/4 Cup
14 Curry Leaves Few
15 Water 3 Cups
16 Turmeric powder Pinch

Instructions to Prepare Khichdi

  1. Wash and cook toor dal with a pinch of turmeric powder. Put aside.
  2. Try not to dispose of the cooked dal water.
  3. Fry the onions, cloves, cinnamon and cardamom.
  4. At the point when onions get a golden color, add green chilies, mint, curry leaves and a piece of the coriander leaves.
  5. Keep the rest of the coriander leaves for garnishing.
  6. Add salt, ginger, and garlic paste. Fry for 2 minutes.
  7. Add the washed, drained rice and chopped tomatoes. Fry for a couple of minutes.
  8. Include the cooked dal, blend well and include some water.
  9. Include cooked dal water. Cook it for 8 to 10 minutes till the rice gets cooked.
  10. Finally, the tastiest Toor Dal Khichdi is ready to be offered to Lord Vishwakarma after garnishing with coriander leaves.

Kheer

Ingredients to Prepare Kheer

1 Rice (long washed and drained) 1/4th Cup
2 Milk 4-5 cups
3 Crushed Cardamom Seeds 2-3
4 Sugar 2-3 tablespoon
5 Almonds 2 tablespoon
6 Saffron threads (soaked in a little hot milk) Pinch
7 Skinned Chopped Pistachio Nuts 1 tablespoon
8 Raisins (optional) 1 tablespoon

Instructions to Prepare Kheer

  1. Put the rice, milk, and cardamom in a container, convey to heat and stew tenderly until the point that the rice is delicate and the grains are beginning to separate.
  2. Add almonds, pistachio, saffron and raisins and stew for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the sugar and mix until it gets totally dissolved.
  4. Remove the rice kheer from heat and finally, the tastiest Kheer is ready to offer to Lord Vishwakarma.
